BROADCAST / VOICE
I know exactly what it’s like to be both in front of, as well as behind, the microphone. My knowledge and experience of the broadcasting industry led to my current appointment to Ofcom’s Advisory Committee for Scotland.
In today’s digital world, video and audio are a vital tool in communicating with your audience. My relaxed interviewing style draws out the best from interviewees, whilst asking the important questions, and will enhance any video or podcast.
The University of Strathclyde is one of my regular voiceover clients.
In April 2016, one of their video projects, for which I both advised on the script and did the voiceover, won its category at the British Universities Film & Video Council’s ‘Learning on Screen’ Awards.
‘Billy’s Story’ was described by the judges as ‘outstanding’. It followed Billy’s journey through the social work system. The winning entry covered the Children’s Hearing.
“I would like to thank you for your excellent work with the narration for the videos. Because the video is part of an online course, we also get positive comments and feedback from learners about all six parts of the film. Viewers really do get drawn into Billy’s Story and find it very emotional. Thank you and well done!”

When you employ me to do Voiceover, I work closely with you to ensure that the script communicates clearly to your audience. Often you’re too close to the material because you’re so familiar with it. I cast a fresh pair of eyes (and ears!) on it and will suggest edits or rewording if I think your message isn’t clear enough.
